The goal of ANGLICANS UNITED & LATIMER PRESS is to promote the reform and spiritual renewal of the people in the Episcopal Church, by printing educational materials that can be used for personal edification, in small group Bible studies and in Christian Education programs for teens and adults.
LATIMER PRESS was founded in 1992 after the General Convention held in Phoenix, AZ. Because of the shift away from orthodox teaching and doctrine in the Episcopal Church USA, conservative authors found it almost impossible to get their works published. LATIMER PRESS was formed to give the best conservative writers a place to publish. And, to give the people in the pews Godly resources that acknowledge the Authority of Scripture as the foundation for their lives.
The Executive Director of LATIMER PRESS is the Rev. Todd H. Wetzel. Fr. Wetzel was ordained priest in 1972 in Cleveland, Ohio and served in parish ministry until 1989. Since then he has been the Executive Director of Anglicans United & Latimer Press, (formerly Episcopalians United), the largest and oldest conservative ministry in the Episcopal Church. He has traveled across the country encouraging priests and laity to continue to fight for the restoration of the Episcopal Church. Fr. Wetzel recently returned to parish ministry as the rector of Church of the Good Shepherd, in the Diocese of Dallas, Texas.
